Jon Shaw is a principal in the public accounting firm of Shaw & Nielsen, P.C. and a founding partner. Jon has over seventeen years of experience providing consulting, tax, accounting and payroll service to his clients.
Jon has had extensive experience in tax compliance and planning for companies that reside in multiple states. His experience includes corporations, partnerships, estates, trusts, and individuals. Jon also many years of experience doing payroll, sales tax and other local tax issues with clients. He has represented clients before the IRS and state authorities and successfully advocated for the clients resulting in good outcomes for the taxpayers involved.
Jon graduated from the University of Utah with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting and then later graduated from Weber State University with a Master of Professional Accountancy degree specializing in Tax. Jon specializes in small businesses taxation, accounting, QuickBooks consulting and payroll. Jon has particularly worked closely in the following industries: automobile dealerships, recreation vehicle dealerships, trade contractors, construction, medical professionals, and real estate professionals. Jon enjoys spending time with his wife and three daughters, playing indoor soccer, basketball, traveling and enjoying the outdoors with friends and family.
